NEVER REST BETWEEN REPS
A very common fatal mistake is to take arrest between reps, when you are training with cables or machine, never make the machine’s plates get down to its rest position or even touch it. Because when you let the weight bottoms get down and all the force you was struggling to control is disappeared, believe me this the last thing you want to do to your abs muscles.
You easy can see it when u are training with a machine, but it’s not that obvious on other exercises , when you do bodyweight ab exercise almost the all often lay down on them back between reps and when you raise up your shoulders from the mat and slow down this make the next rep start from resting positions.




NEVER GET COMFORT IN YOUR AB EXERCISE
If you feel comfort during training you absolutely are in the wrong way, in any time you feel that your current weight become your comfort zone don’t hesitate increasing it and put some weight or by increasing the number of reps and decreasing the resting time between sets.
To build up your abs muscles it is as any part of your body, you always need to overload it in every time to see a progress, because in case of you don’t put a more weight your body will adapts and 
you won’t have any gains.


NEVER FEAR ADDED RESISTANCE
If we are talking about abs exercise you don’t even need to go to gym to do your routine you can do it in your home without any gym equipment, there are a lot of bodyweight exercise.
The dark side of bodyweight exercise that you can increase number of reps and decrease resting intervals between sets but you can’t increase weight which will lead to a great endurance to your abs muscles which increase your strength but your gain will stop because there is no overloading on the muscles.
